In case you haven't seen these, it started with the top one, the Sarah Silverman and Matt Damon video. Below is the response. I admit, I'm not one of those people who really gets Sarah Silverman, but maybe this is accessible because of the people involved. Or maybe I need to give her a second look...
And her boyfriend Jimmy Kimmel...and alot of other people...had this to say-

Baracktyfying the English language
This is really funny. A widget created by Slate.com that shows all the different ways you can bend Obama's first and last names. Click on the "more" button to see all the myriad ways we can speak and never have to deviate from talking about Obama. ;)

Cuts Both Ways
Just for the record, I believe in the need for this so called "Britney law" being bantered about. While the girl may ask for it from time to time, there is no real excuse for another human being to be constantly followed - hounded really - by packs of people ALL day long. Especially when there's reckless driving involved. That said, I can see the humor in the things she chooses to do knowing full well that the throng surrounding her isn't carrying cupcakes. Them's there have CAMERAS!

Co-opting Christopher Guest...and not in a good way
So most everyone who knows me knows I'm supporting Barack Obama in this election cycle. For my Republican friend readers I can't go into all the reasons here, but this article expresses alot of my thoughts. (it's much easier to link than to come up with my own dissertation on the state of the Republican party right now.)

BUT, the reason for this post is this new ad out from the Clinton campaign, so I was trying to let you know where I stand to be fair. Regardless of where I stand though, this video is just so...bad. I honestly thought until the last 10 seconds that it was a mockumentary style ad, a la Christopher Guest. But no! Someone thought this would "go over well with the youngsters"(my quote). Talk about not having your finger on the pulse...Enjoy...or not!

Come Back...
So I probably lost all three of my readers by being such a non-starter over the last couple of months. This is my plea for you to keep reading, from one of my favorite movies as a kid, Dot & The Kangaroo (yes, I was always drawn to melancholic entertainment). I am definitely going to be posting regularly again, so stay tuned.
